The robot's wallet

A robot’s wallet is on Robinhood Chain. It holds USDG, a dollar stablecoin, and it is where payments to the robot arrive.

A plain wallet is an address controlled by one private key. This is what a robot has right after registration. It is simple, but whoever holds the key can spend everything in it. There is no limit.

A spending account is a small contract that holds the robot’s money. The robot’s key can pay from it only up to a daily limit you set. You stay in control: you can change the limit, pause spending, withdraw, or replace the robot’s key. See Spending limits.

You start with a plain wallet and can set up a spending account from the robot’s page.

The robot signs payments with a private key. If you chose Create a new wallet at registration, that key was shown to you once. It belongs on the robot, in the mova-robot tool’s settings.

  • Anyone with the key can spend as the robot. With a plain wallet that means everything. With a spending account it means up to the daily limit.
  • If the key leaks, and the robot has a spending account, you can replace the key from the owner’s wallet. See the RobotWallet contract.

Every transaction on Robinhood Chain costs a small fee in ETH. The robot’s key pays its own fees, so its address needs a little ETH. The robot’s page shows the balance and warns you when it’s low.

The Wallet panel on the robot’s page shows the USDG balance and the address. It reads these directly from Robinhood Chain.
